I picked up Filosofía de Bitcoin by Álvaro D. María expecting another technical explanation of how Bitcoin works. Instead, I found a profound philosophical exploration of what Bitcoin actually represents.

The book starts with a powerful question: what is money, really? The author argues that money isn't just a tool for exchange, it's a social construct reflecting power structures. Traditional currencies are backed by state violence and controlled by central banks that can print unlimited amounts, creating a system where some benefit while everyone else suffers from inflation.

The most eye-opening part was the discussion of property ownership. We think we own our bank accounts, digital assets, and online presence, but these can all be taken away by third parties.
